    Abstract: The actual vibration of the vibrator is the coupling vibration between different vibration modes.The radial vibration theory of the thin plate and the one-dimensional design theory of the horn are all simplified forms of the three-dimensional elastic theory,and they all have their scope of application,larger calculation errors will result if the scope is exceeded.By setting the longitudinal-radial coupling coefficient,the frequency equation of the longitudinal-radial coupled vibration of the cylindrical and the circular plate vibrators is derived from the elastic dynamics theory.The comparison with the finite element analysis results and measured values proves that the method has very high calculation accuracy.In the longitudinal-radial coupled vibration of a cylindrical vibrator,the greater its length-diameter ratio(or thickness-diameter ratio)is,the stronger the longitudinal vibration of the vibrator will be; the smaller its length-diameter ratio is,the stronger the radial vibration of the vibrator is.
