Abstract: Coal-based Methanol/Power Poly-generation System, which based on IGCC, has been regarded as one of promising technologies to use fossil fuel more efficiently and cleanly. The relevance of the thermodynamic and economic performances of this system was investigated by Relative energy saving rate(ER) and Unit Energy Production Cost are respectively presented as a criterion to evaluate thermodynamic and economic performances. The study shows ,for Methanol/Power Poly-generation System ,not only existing the best circulation ratio to make relative energy saving rate highest ,but also there is the best circulation ratio making Unit Energy Production Cost lowest. The system was revealed that when the circulation ratio is between 2.17~4.44, both of Relative energy saving rate(ER) and Unit Energy Production Cost could reach an optimal state.
