  • Marine Ranching Version 3.0: History, Status and Prospects

    Abstract: Since the 1930s, the construction of marine ranching has successively experienced the version 1.0 (traditional marine ranching) of farming-ranching and engineering, and the version 2.0 (marine ecological ranching) of ecologization and informatization, and now it is about to enter the version 3.0 (global aquatic ecological ranching) of digitalization and systematization, which covers seawater and fresh water. Marine ranching version 3.0 must adhere to the modern aquatic ecological ranching development concept of “ecology, precision, intelligence, integration”, characterized by synchronous protection and utilization, expansion of scene and space, breakthrough in core technology, and innovation in development patterns. After establishing the whole industrial technology chain of scientific site selection, layout planning, habitat restoration, bio-resource conservation, safety protection and integrative development, a “modern upgraded version” of marine ranching will be established in the northern waters, a“strategic new space” of marine ranching will be expanded in the southern waters, and a new trial of freshwater ranching will be started, so as to support the construction of national marine ranching demonstration zone and lead the construction and development of aquatic ecological ranching around the world.

  • Formulating Decade Action Plan for Green and Quality Development in Bohai Sea

    Abstract: As the only inland sea of China, Bohai Sea has been regarded as the integrated part of the national territorial space toward green and high-quality development in the new era. The comprehensive environmental treatment in Bohai Sea has achieved noticeable progress, but the problems remain. The trend of biological and ecological degradation of Bohai Sea has not been fundamentally curbed. Guided by President Xi Jinping thought on ecological civilization and on building a maritime community with a shared future, China should join into the Implementation Plan for the United Nations Decade of Marine Science for Sustainable Development (2021–2030), and manage to formulate Bohai Sea Decade Action Plan for Green and High-quality Development. The proposed action plan should aim at establishing “Clean Bohai Sea”, “Ecological Bohai Sea”, “Low-carbon Bohai Sea”, and “High-quality Bohai Sea”, and enhancing special projects in terms of science and technology, ecology, industry, and management. China would set up a typical module of regional sea sustainable development worldwide.

  • Industrial Convergence of Marine Ranching and Offshore Wind Power: Concept and Prospect

    Abstract: China is a major maritime country. The booming marine ranching and offshore wind power industries are becoming important components of Chinese marine economy. The industrial convergence of marine ranching and offshore wind power is a representative innovation of modern high-efficiency agriculture industry and new energy industry, which plays a great significant role in accelerating the shift in driving forces for economic development. Nonetheless, such a program has not yet been established in China now. In this paper, current advances of marine ranching and offshore wind power industries are discussed. Then the necessity, concept, prospects, scientific problems, technological difficulties, and research contents of industrial convergence are presented in detail. The focus of such study is to provide new insights on how to build the new model of modern marine ranching with the purpose of realizing sustainable fishery output and clean energy production.

  • Study on Green Development Model and Approach of Blue Agriculture in the Yellow River Delta

    Abstract: The Yellow River Delta is located on the west coast of the Bohai Sea. It is one of the regions with the most active interaction between land and ocean, and one of the three major estuary deltas in China. This region has the most complete, the most extensive, the youngest wetland ecosystem and abundant biological resources in China’s warm zone. It plays an important role in regulating the climate, reducing exogenous pollution, restoring amphibious ecological ecotone, and other functions. In recent years, with the rapid development of the Yellow River Delta region, problems such as the continuous reduction of inflow seawater and sediment, the serious shrinkage of wetland areas, and the invasion of Spartina alterniflora Loisel, have become increasingly prominent. On the basis of summarizing and analyzing the development status of this region, we proposed four development concepts: ecological protection priority, adapt to local water conditions, deep integration of multiple elements, and reasonable spatial layout, then, suggested four development models: ecological farm and ranch, integrated development of fishery and tourism, integrated development of fishery and energy industry, and linkage of three kinds of industrial models, with a view to achieving green development of blue agriculture in the Yellow River Delta.

  • 着力实现海洋牧场建设的理念、装备、技术、管理现代化

    Abstract:现代化海洋牧场建设是我国近海生态环境保护和海洋渔业健康发展的重要抓手。我国海洋牧场的建设理念不断深化,由投放人工鱼礁和放流资源生物,逐步过渡为改善海域环境和养护渔业资源。如今海洋牧场建设规模不断扩大,至今已完成64处国家级海洋牧场示范区建设。但如何实现现代化海洋牧场建设,仍然存在诸多问题亟待解决。文章从理念现代化、装备现代化、技术现代化、管理现代化4个方面论述了现代化海洋牧场的建设理念。针对我国温带和热带海域特点,基于陆海统筹蓝色粮仓建设的需求,提出了海洋牧场与集约化精准养殖场、海岸带生态农牧场、离岸深水智慧渔场融合发展新模式,以期为现有温带海域海洋牧场升级和热带海域海洋牧场的现代化建设提供参考。

  • 海岸带生态农牧场新模式构建设想与途径——以黄河三角洲为例

    Abstract:全球气候变化及人类活动加剧等背景下,我国海岸带区域发展遭受显著影响,生态脆弱性异常突出,面临诸多严峻挑战。目前,海岸带区域相对独立发展的盐碱地农业、滩涂养殖和海洋牧场,已无法满足现代农业的发展要求。亟待查明陆海连通性的影响机制和调控途径,采用新设施和新工程技术,建立基于生态系统管理理念的海岸带生态农牧场新模式。文章以我国海岸带区域发展的典型和缩影——黄河三角洲为例,分析了海岸带资源、环境现状及存在的问题;基于海岸带区域盐碱地开发与海洋牧场产业发展现状与需求,论述了海岸带生态农牧场的建设理念、建设内容、科学问题、关键技术和发展途径,以期为我国海岸带保护与持续利用提供参考。
