Abstract: [Purpose/significance] This paper analyzed the characteristics of the Australian digital humanities projects, summarized the overview of the Australian digital humanities projects, and put forward constructive opinions on Chinese digital humanities.[Method/process] We used the network survey method and interview method to analyze the development of the Australian digital humanities project, divided its development stages based on the summary of the digital humanities project, and after a detailed project inspection to obtain the stage representative project, classify according to different research methods and directions. At the same time, based on the project achievements and influence to establish an analysis and evaluation system to obtain valuable features, and based on this discussion of the enrichment of the theory and practice of digital humanities construction in China to provide many suggestions for reference.[Result/conclusion] The paper pointed out that the Australian digital humanities project has obvious characteristics and significance in the overall stage. These projects show the characteristics of social services, deep library participation, innovative cooperation and sharing, and the paper put forward the main opinions on increasing investment, releasing library potential and forming characteristics about digital humanities construction in China.

Subjects: Library Science,Information Science >> Information Science submitted time 2023-04-01 Cooperative journals: 《图书情报工作》

Abstract: [Purpose/significance] As the popular online Q&A mode, the free and fee online Q&A communities provide users with different information interaction scenarios, differentiated user needs can be met. This paper compares the participation behavior of two types of community users, and reveals the behavioral differences between them, finally some countermeasures and suggestions for the optimization of the two kinds of community service modes are put forward.[Method/process] The contingency table analysis, non-parametric test and negative binomial regression were used to analyze the interaction characteristics and interaction relations.[Result/conclusion] This paper finds that there are many differences between free and fee online Q&A users in information demand, participation characteristics and interaction relations, free online Q&A has the most opinion questions and paid online Q&A has the most advice questions; free questioners tend to ask abstract and general questions, while fee questioners tend to provide detailed background information; the length of questions negatively affects the number and length of free answers, and positively affects the length of fee answers; the question length and answer length positively affect the number of free and fee evaluations. This paper enriches the research on user participation behavior of online Q&A community, and provides some management suggestions for free and paid online Q&A community.

  • Research on Influencing Factors of Users' Online Information Seeking Intention Based on Meta Analysis

Subjects: Library Science,Information Science >> Information Science submitted time 2023-04-01 Cooperative journals: 《图书情报工作》

Abstract: [Purpose/significance] Online information seeking has always been the focus of attention in the field of users' information behavior research. There are differences in the identification of the influencing factors of online information seeking intention in the existing literature. Clarifying the overall correlation of each influencing factor on online information seeking intention can provide scientific reference for the academic community to deeply understand users' online information seeking intention.[Method/process] Eight antecedents and five moderators influencing online information seeking intention were selected, and 178 independent effect values of 104 literatures were included for meta-analysis.[Result/conclusion] Perceived risk (r=0.166), self-efficacy (r=0.309), perceived usefulness (r=0.509), perceived ease of use (r=0.384), source credibility (r=0.441), information quality (r=0.466), information literacy (r=0.389) and anxiety (r=0.244) have significant positive effects on users' online information seeking intention. Search channel, research situation, education level and identity category of the subjects, and social culture will interfere with the relationship between the above eight variables and online information seeking intention.

  • Learning Effect of Collaborative Search Team: from the Perspective of Task Type, Group Size and Communication Quality

Subjects: Library Science,Information Science >> Information Science submitted time 2023-04-01 Cooperative journals: 《图书情报工作》

Abstract: [Purpose/significance] Compared with single person search, collaborative search is helpful to solve the tasks of complex information needs. Further research on the learning effect of collaborative search team, which has not been clarified in academic circles, will help to explore the antecedents and mechanism of the learning effect, and provide some enlightenment for improving the team's information search ability and cooperative learning ability.[Method/process] Based on the theory of cooperative learning, this study adopted the method of information search experiment to verify the difference of learning effect of collaborative search team under different group size, communication quality and task type level.[Result/conclusion] In the decision-making task scenario, there are significant differences in the team learning effect among 2-person group, 4-person group and 6-person group, and the team learning effect of 4-person group is the best; the quality of intra group communication has a significant impact on the learning effect of collaborative search team; in the context of decision-making task, group size and team communication quality have an interactive effect on team learning.

  • Comparison of Field Normalization Effects Based on Different Discipline Classification Schemes

Subjects: Library Science,Information Science >> Information Science submitted time 2023-04-01 Cooperative journals: 《图书情报工作》

Abstract: [Purpose/significance] This paper aims to analyze the impact of different discipline classification schemes on field normalization effects, and compare the field normalization effects of different field normalization methods in different discipline classification schemes. [Method/process] This study focused on two aspects: first, compared the effect of the mean method、median method and Z-score method under the Web of Science classification scheme; second, changed the different discipline classification schemes to test the sensitivity of the three field normalization methods under the Essential Science Indicators (ESI) and Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) classification schemes. [Result/conclusion] The results show that the disciplinary classification scheme does not have a significant impact on field normalization effects, and the effects of field normalization methods under different discipline classification schemes remain basically unchanged. Judging from the CCDF distribution graph, the citation distribution after using the three field normalization methods is obviously closer than the original citation count, and the citation distribution of the three field normalization methods after changing the discipline classification scheme with different granularity is still roughly the same. When the top z% method is used to numerically test the field normalization effect, it is found that the effects of the three field normalization methods remain basically unchanged after changing the different discipline classification schemes, and show the following laws: When intercepting papers below 30% of the global top, the Z-score method is slightly different than the mean method, but both are better than the median method; 30%-40% stage, Z-score method shows obvious advantages; more than 40%, the median method is significantly better than the other two methods.
