• STCF Value: A New Index to Evaluate the Academic Literature Influence Based on Research Topic

    Abstract: [Purpose/significance] The indexes of evaluating literature influence continue to innovate, but a lot of indexes are lack of assessment of the literature influence on the topic level. Aimed to solve this problem, this paper presents a method based on the research topic.[Method/process] This paper chooses 500 highly cited literature as samples which attribute to the field of information science in the Web of Science database. LDA model is used to model the literature subject. The support of the topic of the literature is combined with the cited frequency to compute the specific topic cited frequency(STCF). We rank the literature according to the STCF value of each document in the corresponding subject.[Result/conclusion] The empirical research shows that STCF value reflects the subject content, the subject diversity, and the academic status of literature. This method effectively compensates for the shortage of the cited frequency and Altmetrics index to evaluate the literature impact.

  • Research on the Metacognitive Performance of University Student in Exploratory Search

    Abstract: [Purpose/significance] This paper develops a feasible and effective questionnaire for the metacognitive measurement issues of university student in multi-faceted and exploratory search situation. It designs four different types of exploratory search situation, and conducts multi-dimensional analysis and evaluation of the subjects' metacognitive performance under each prescribed situation. [Method/process] In this paper, we used metacognitive theory to design"exploratory search meta-cognitive assessment questionnaire", and conducted its reliability and validity test in pilot study. Besides, by conducting a search test, we selected 60 university students to conduct exploratory search tasks and gave them a questionnaire in the formal evaluation process. In this process,we also used Camtasia Studio to record the search images and conducted a post-interview. Through the survey data, search behavior videos and interviews, we analysed users' cognition of search tasks and self-cognitive, search process monitoring and search process evaluation in four different types of exploratory search situation. [Result/conclusion] On the one hand, the questionnaire has good coefficient of internal consistency reliability and validity, and it can be used as an effective tool to measure university students' exploratory search metacognitive level (or performance). On the other hand, according to the dimensional data analysis result, university students' self-cognitive, tasks comprehension and search obstacle monitoring capability are relatively less when faced with decision type problem (evaluation decision search) and research problem (knowledge acquisition search task). According to the results, we propose suggestions to improve the university students' exploratory search abilities from three aspects-information literacy education, cultivation of SQ and human-computer interaction function of web search system.

  • Research on Automated Evaluation of User Generated Answer Quality in Social Question and Answer Community——Taking “Zhihu” as an Example

    Abstract: [Purpose/significance] The paper aims to build the social QA community users to generate the quality evaluation index system, achieve automatic evaluation and selection of answers to user needs, and improve the quality of the community QA community service.[Method/process] The introduction of social emotional features and user characteristics, and factor analysis and structural equation analysis are used to build an index system for evaluating the quality of user generated answers. Then, based on the GA-BP neural network model, the automatic evaluation method of the answer quality is designed. The application of the quality evaluation index system and automatic evaluation method of user generated answers is studied.[Result/conclusion] The evaluation index system consists of 5 dimensions, including the characteristics of the answer text, the characteristics of the respondent, the timeliness, the user characteristics and the social emotional characteristics. The experimental analysis shows that the method of automatic evaluation of the answer quality based on GA-BP neural network is more accurate and lower than other methods. It is feasible and effective, and can be further applied and popularized.

  • The Prioritization of Subject Research Topics Based on the Integration of Writing Trends and Citation Trends: Taking the Subject of Information Science in China as an Example

    Abstract: [Purpose/significance] Topic sorting is not only the basic problem for information retrieval and information organization, but also an important work of subject service. The effective sorting of subject field research topics can help researchers and decision-making departments to grasp the research situation of the subject field effectively, locate the direction of scientific research accurately and make scientific research decisions quickly.[Method/process] This paper proposes the prioritization algorithm based on the combination of topic extraction and trend analysis. Then it takes the research topics of Library and Information Science as an example to extract the research topics of the sample literature, and each research topic is divided into four sub-topics:poor theme, hot topic, cold point theme, and overheated topic. Next priority ranking is carried out in subclasses.[Result/conclusion] The empirical results show that the priority ranking algorithm can display the development level of research topics in an all-round, fine-grained and deep way. This method provides a new perspective for realizing dynamic intelligence analysis from time dimension.

  • Research on the Configuration of Influencing Factors Affecting User Knowledge Willingness Payment in Online Q & A Community from the Perspective of Reason and Status Quo Bias

    Abstract: [Purpose/significance] The knowledge payment behavior of users is a complex decision-making process that is affected by the synergy of multiple factors. It is of great significance to explore the combined effect of factors affecting the willingness of users to pay for knowledge in the context of free knowledge acquisition. This study can help to understand the knowledge payment behavior of users and promote the sustainable development of the paid Q & A community. [Method/process] This paper constructed latent variables that affect users' willingness to pay for knowledge based on the current state deviation theory and rational choice theory. The fsQCA method was used to analyze the asymmetric multiple concurrent causality between the variables, and to explore the configuration of the willingness to pay for knowledge. [Result/conclusion] The study has found that, in the presence of free information acquisition channels, the willingness of users in the paid question-and-answer community to pay for knowledge is the result of multi-factor interactions at the level of rationality and bias. Perceived revenue is the most critical factor for a high degree of willingness to pay for knowledge. The idea of personal free is an important influencing factor of low-level knowledge willingness to pay. From the perspective of the combination of conditions, there are four configurations that affect the willingness to pay for knowledge. Based on the analysis of the results of the configuration, this paper proposes specific strategies to promote the payment of knowledge by users.

  • Research on the Construction of Dynamic Portrait Model of Social Academic App Users Based on Small Data

    Abstract: [Purpose/significance] Enrich and expand the theoretical research system of building dynamic portrait of social academic App users based on small data, so as to provide ideas and reference for the social academic App platform to effectively predict the evolution trend of user behavior and improve the precise service level.[Method/process] Firstly, based on the deep analysis of concept and characteristics of the small data, combined with the feature of social academic App, this paper from two aspects of user behavior and the surface of deep factors designed dynamic portrait label system. Then collected the small data with strong correlation and high value with the user as the data support of the portrait, and clarified the acquisition and processing method. Finally, it put forward the research method to realize the dynamic portrait and form the overall frame model.[Result/conclusion] The construction of dynamic portrait of social academic App users based on small data can effectively refine the granularity of portrait, and improve the lag of previous portrait, which has important reference value for the promotion of accurate service level of social academic App platform under data-driven situation.
