Abstract： [Purpose/significance] National reading is a major project to improve national quality and culture soft power, which is of strategic importance to China. This paper aims to interpret the state of domestic research on national reading, and it will provide insight into sustainability of national reading and practice innovation in the new era.[Method/process] The literature review is conducted by using content analysis from the perspective of theory combined with practice. The related documents are systematically analyzed and summarized and integrated into five topics according to certain logical relation.[Result/conclusion] The interrelated topics are interpreted from six aspects:the theoretical basis of national reading practice, national reading legislation, national reading behavior and its evolution, national reading evaluation criteria, the engagement of library in national reading, and promoting mechanism for national reading. In addition, the authors propose four directions for future research, including theoretical research and discipline construction, reading legislation and policy environment, survey research and reading evaluation, and organizational coordination and multiple cooperation.

Abstract： [Purpose/significance] The questionnaire survey method has been relatively widely used in the field of library science, but the specific implementation situation is still controversial. The paper aims to give a complete understanding of the status of the 2017 Library Science Questionnaire article in this article.[Method/process] All the articles published in 11 CSSCI library magazines in 2017 that used questionnaire method were reviewed and analyzed about their survey objects, research topics, sample size, effective recovery rate of questionnaire, demographic characteristics, funding status, and quantity, preparation, and their statistical methods.[Result/conclusion] The results showed that, although questionnaire investigation in the field of library science had a good application, there were still problems, such as research angle, scope of research objects, sample size of the questionnaire, the differences in the degree of specification between the articles in the scales and the articles in the questionnaires, less use of pre-test and sampling methods, lack of reliability and validity test, and single data analysis method.

Abstract： [Purpose/significance] In view of the problems existing in today's library science research, this paper proposes to carry out library science research by means of normative questionnaire survey.[Method/process] Based on the "D-7 method" research framework in the field of community informatics, combined with the specific example of the "Librarian Stereotype" project, this paper presents the specific operation process of normative questionnaire survey in each link of empirical research, and explains the application skills and precautions.[Result/conclusion] Using "D-7 method" can effectively standardize and promote the practical operation of empirical research. The development direction of library science should be the standardization of research methods and the universal use of analytical tools. The advantages and characteristics of the normative questionnaire survey method meet the requirements of the development of library science research and can be further popularized and popularized.

Abstract： [Purpose/significance] By analyzing and discussing the status quo and characteristics of the service positions for children and youth in American public libraries, this paper provides a new perspective to study the needs and services for children and youth in public libraries and provides reference for the development of the service positions for children and youth in Chinese public libraries.[Method/process] The paper collected the recruitment advertisements for children and youth service positions published on the American Library Association Joblist, and then used content analysis to analyze the position descriptions and qualifications of children and youth service positions in the American public libraries.[Result/conclusion] The study found that in terms of position settings, the children and youth service positions in the American public libraries are mainly based on the service object and supplemented by the service content. In terms of professional competencies, the service positions for children and youth have greater demands for the ability to "programming skills" and "outreach and advocacy". In terms of knowledge and skills, the service positions of children and youth in American public libraries are characterized by "for readers" and "adapting to the needs of the times". In addition, American children and youth service positions usually consider "work experience" as an important reference standard, while focusing on the equivalent combination of education and experience. Finally, the paper discusses the development of the service positions for children and youth in public libraries in China from three aspects:the "targeted" setting, "standardization" support and "professional" development.

Abstract： The arid region of Northwest China is one of the driest regions in the world and is characterized with severe water scarcity.Water shortage is the most critical natural factor limiting the high-quality economic and social development and ecological security in the arid region of Northwest China. Based on the long-term monitoring data from the field stations of Chinese Academy of Sciences, observation data of meteorological stations, water resources bulletin and the remote sensing data, this study systematically analyzes the basic characteristics of water resources and ecological environment in the arid region of Northwest China, assesses the changing trends of hydrological elements, water resources, and ecological environment. Besides, this study analyzes the changes of water resources carrying capacity in terms of water use structure and water resources utilization efficiency, and puts forward some suggestions on sustainable water resources utilization and ecological and environmental protection. The results show that the temperature in the arid region of Northwest China has increased at a rate of 0.32℃/decade and precipitation has increased at a rate of 9.32 mm/decade. The glaciers are shrinking at accelerating rate and the runoff supplied by glacier/snow meltwater has increased. The amount of water resources has increased by about 11 billion m3 since the mid-1990s. In the past decade, water use efficiency has been improved, water-saving irrigation area has been expanded, and agricultural water production efficiency has been improved due to water conservation and utilization measures. Water environment capacity has been increased, water carrying capacity has been enhanced, surface water area has been expanded, and the ecosystem condition has improved. However, water resources problems are still prominent in the arid region of Northwest China, the intensity of extreme climate and hydrological events has increased, and the ecological environment is still fragile. In the future, it is necessary to further explore the water resources potential of this region, improve the water resources management, and enhance ecological protection and restoration efforts for better adaptation to the possible risks of climate change, so as to provide scientific and technological support for promoting the construction of the “Green Silk Road” and realizing high-quality regional economic and social development.
