Abstract: We applied the transformation optics to mimic a black hole of Schwarzschild form. Similar properties of photon sphere were also found numerically for the metamaterial black hole. Several reduced versions of the black hole systems were proposed for easier implementations.

Abstract: We investigate the Hamiltonian formulation爋f爁(T)爂ravity燼nd find that there are five燿egrees爋f爁reedom. The six first class constraints corresponding to the local Lorentz transformation in Teleparallel爂ravity燽ecome second class constraints in爁(T)爂ravity, which leads to the appearance爋f爐hree extra燿egrees爋ffreedom燼nd the violation爋f爐he local Lorentz invariance in爁(T)爂ravity. In general, there are D-1 extra燿egrees爋f爁reedom爁or爁(T)爂ravity爄n D dimensions, and this implies that the extra燿egrees爋f爁reedom燾orrespond to one massive vector field or one massless vector field with one scalar field.

Abstract: We prove that,爄n爂eneral爐he爁irst爈aw爋f燽lack爃ole爐hermodynamnics, delta Q = T delta S, is violated爄n爁(T) gravity. As a result, it is possible that there exists entropy production, which implies that爐he燽lack爃ole爐hermodynamics燾an be爄n爊on-equilibrium even爄n爐he爏tatic spacetime. This feature is very different from that爋f爁(R) or that爋f爋ther higher derivative gravity theories. We find that爐he爒iolation爋f爁irst爈aw爎esults from爐he爈ack爋f爈ocal Lorentz invariance爄n爁(T) gravity. By investigating two examples, we note that f ''(0) should be negative爄n爋rder to avoid爐he爊aked singularities and superluminal motion爋f爈ight. When f ''(T) is small,爐he爀ntropy爋f燽lack爃oles爄n爁(T) gravity is approximatively equal to (f'(T))/(4)A
