  • Embedded Promotion: An Effective Path to Classical Reading Promotion in University Libraries——Taking Southwest Jiaotong University as an Example

    Abstract: [Purpose/significance] The paper aims to explore an effective path of classical reading promotion and form a certain restraint and management to classical reading of college students to solve the bottleneck of college library classic reading promotion.[Method/process] The case of embedded classical reading promotion in the library of Southwest Jiaotong University was selected for empirical analysis, ranging from embedded teacher classroom teaching and embedded student learning process to embedded preparation, embedded implementation, and embedded evaluation. The whole process demonstrates the embedded classical reading promotion mode and its related problems.[Result/conclusion] Embedded classical reading promotion has achieved effective control over the classical reading of college students, played a positive role in the construction of general education courses to a certain extent, and promoted the improvement of students' reading ability. This paper makes experimental exploration for the development of the depth and precision of classical reading promotion in university libraries.

  • An Overview of Research on the Information Literacy Education in Domestic and Foreign Countries in Recent Five Years

    Abstract: [Purpose/significance] This paper systematically summarizes the research status of information literacy education. In order to provide reference for the future research and practice of information literacy education in China's university libraries, the main problems are thought and expected.[Method/process] By the methods of literature research, this paper sums up and summarizes the existing information literacy education content and education mode at home and abroad, and analyzes the characteristics and experience of these studies.[Result/conclusion] This paper provide the following recommendations:we should combine with the new environment, new theory and "Framework for Information Literacy for Higher Education" to develop the content of information literacy education, such as data literacy and metaliteracy, seek appropriate and diverse educational mode, such as MOOC and flipped classroom,from the learning perspective of learner, grasp the development opportunity in the AI era and focus on the new trend of information literacy education.

  • Exploration on the College Library's Writing Guidance Service Embedded in the Curriculum——A Case Study of Southwest Jiaotong University

    Abstract: [Purpose/significance] The lack of writing ability of college students is a common phenomenon. Writing service provided by university libraries is an important means to improve the writing quality of college students. The development of embedded writing counseling service plays an important role in promoting the improvement of students' writing ability.[Method/process] This paper discussed the basic mode of library embedded writing guidance service, and studied the specific object, form, content and effect evaluation method of embedded service. Then taking the library service practice of Southwest Jiaotong University as an example, this paper analyzed the experiences, problems and improvement measures.[Result/conclusion] The universities should select appropriate embedded methods and modes according to the specific situation of the university, combine the characteristics of the discipline and the specific curriculum requirements, and strengthen the construction of long-term mechanism.

  • A Review of the Research on Government Purchasing Public Library Services in Recent Ten Years

    Abstract: [Purpose/significance] Summarizing the present research situation of government purchasing public library services in recent ten years, so as to provide reference for further research. [Method/process] Literature works were collected through keyword retrieval and citation tracing,then summarized related topics through reading and analyzing. [Result/conclusion] The research on government purchase of public library services in China started late but developed rapidly. The research field has been expanding and the research results are gradually systematic. In the future, it can be carried out from the following aspects:strengthening the discrimination of relevant concepts, strengthening the study of social organization undertaking, case transformation, relevant legislation research, third party evaluation research, and purchase risk research and so on.

  • Certificate-based Promotion: An Effective Way of Classical Reading in University Library——Taking Southwest Jiaotong University Library as an Example

    Abstract: [Purpose/significance] To explore an effective way to promote classic reading, to form a certain incentive and affirmation for college students' classic reading, and to strengthen the role and position of classic reading promotion in the process of talent cultivation.[Method/process] This paper made an empirical analysis on the promotion cases of the certified classical reading in the library of Southwest Jiaotong University, and demonstrated the certified classical reading promotion paths and related problems in depth from 4 certification forms of Certificate-based the general course, Certificate-based the second class certification, Certificate-based Young Marxist Training Project, Certificate-based reading workshop and 5 evaluation methods of test method, conversation method, statement method, observation method and proof method.[Result/conclusion] To a certain extent, the promotion of certified classical reading has encouraged and affirmed the classical reading of college students, and also reflected the responsibility and contribution of the promotion of classical reading in college education and ideological and political education, which has made a beneficial exploration for the promotion of classical reading in college library and the library's service to teaching and personnel training.

  • Writing Tutoring in Foreign University Library: Practice and Inspiration

    Abstract: [Purpose/significance] The writing tutoring service in foreign university library rich in practice has a long history. Learning and drawing on its concrete experience will provide guidance for the service of the university library in China.[Method/process] Through online survey and literature review, the paper selects 10 representative foreign university libraries to conduct a survey of writing tutoring status and to summarize.[Result/conclusion] University libraries in China can carry out practical exploration by setting up writing centers, building a student consulting team and carrying out diversified writing activities.

  • Problems and Measures in the Reform of Corporate Governance Structure of Public Libraries in China

    Abstract: [Purpose/significance] The establishment and effective operation of the council is the fundamental symbol and core of the reform of the corporate governance structure of public libraries, and it can more intuitively reflect the current situations and problems of the reform. [Method/process] This article investigatedthe establishment and operation conditions of councils of 365 public libraries above prefecture-level cities in China, through various channels such as library official websites, government official websites, academic papers, news mediaand telephone surveys. [Result/conclusion] This paper finds that there are problems such as low establishment ratio, large regional differences, fuzzy function positioning, single source of directors and low degree of information disclosure.In view of this, in the process of deepening the reforms, we must adhere to the principles of combining "helm" with "service", coordination of "public welfare" and "competitiveness" and compatibility of "exotics" with "localization". Improvingthe overall reform effectiveness by improving the system design; Speeding up the reform process and promoting the development of regional cooperation; Clarifying the functional positioning and optimizing the decision-making support mechanism; Optimizing the composition of members and broadening the source of directors; Increasing the degree of information disclosure and improving internal and external supervision mechanisms.The effective implementation of reforms is escorted.

  • The Practice and Enlightenment of “Common Reading Program” in North American Colleges and Universities

    Abstract: [Purpose/significance] To understand the implementation, types and characteristics of the "common reading program" in North American universities, and to provide reference and reference for the promotion of reading in Chinese university libraries.[Method/process] Through investigating the official websites of North American universities, we collected, organized and analyzed the information related to the "common reading program", and summarized five distinctive features:aligning with the strategy of the parent institution and making the specialized institution responsible for it;realizing the "common reading program"by means of "discussion session";going beyond the mere "reading activities" and pursuing multi-directional integration; broadening the base of students' diversified literacy through "common reading";and promoting the "common reading" through multi-dimensional assessment. [Result/conclusion] The promotion of reading in university libraries in China needs to pay attention to the following aspects:rooting in the goals and positioning of the parent institution; attaching importance to the participation of teachers and providing them with necessary support; realizing the integration and crossover of multiple practices through "reading"; relying on "reading" to expand students' multiple literacies; enriching the assessment dimension and reflecting the value of contribution to the university.

  • 面向生态系统多对象保护与修复的水库优化调度

    Abstract:近20 a来,随着塔里木河(简称塔河)流域水资源综合规划与调度的实施,已基本实现水流到台特玛湖、大西海子水库多年平均下泄3.50108 m3的生态输水目标。但是,塔河下游其文阔尔河与老塔里木河之间的两河区域内植被稀少、生态环境脆弱,多年的生态恢复效果并不显著。鉴于此,本文以大西海子水库为调控主体,以大西海子下泄生态水量、河道内生态基流、台特玛湖生态输水、河道外生态供水等为生态保护对象,建立了水库中长期生态优化调度模型,采用粒子群算法进行求解。结果表明:(1)优化调度后大西海子水库多年平均下泄水量为5.23108 m3,满足塔河一期规划3.50108 m3水量要求,且下游河道常流水时间显著延长;(2)优化调度后多年平均入台特玛湖水量为0.18108 m3,相较于实测数据,增加了20.0%,且入湖过程更加平稳,有利于巩固已初步形成的尾闾湖泊生态系统;(3)优化调度后塔河下游河道生态基流保证率为50.0%,不断流的保证率达64.6%,对受人类活动影响巨大的我国最长内陆河塔里木河下游河道生态系统具有重要积极影响;(4)优化调度后塔河下游河道外多年平均生态供水量1.67108 m3,为下游两河区域的荒漠河岸植被林生态恢复奠定了水量基础。研究成果对于塔河下游两河区域的荒漠河岸植被林修复与保护、维持河道和尾闾湖泊的生态健康、构建地下生态水银行具有重要的应用价值,也对于构建塔河生态流域具有重要的现实和推广意义。

  • 数字文本自动分类中特征语义关联及加权策略研究综述与展望

    Abstract:【目的】探讨目前针对书目、题录信息以及新闻网页、博客等新兴媒体开展的数字文本自动分类研究中存在的主要问题和可能的解决方向。【文献范围】基于机器学习方法的自动分类研究领域中,关于特征语义转换、特征扩展和加权策略等方面的主要研究成果及相关文献。【方法】按照主要研究、关键技术、现有成果水平和今后发展方向等方面进行分析归纳。【结果】针对特征语义转换、特征扩展和加权策略等研究领域,分析问题的现象和原因,指出当前研究在文本语义表示、各种知识库的利用等方面存在的不足。【局限】没有涉及分类过程中分类算法等其他比较成熟的研究领域。【结论】今后可以从向量空间模型与概率主题模型相结合、利用各种外部知识库并提高概念相似度计算能力、结合多种加权策略构建复合加权表示模型等方向开展分类研究,以提高数字文本自动分类的性能。

  • 基于《知网》的多种类型文献混合自动分类研究

    Abstract: [Objective] This paper aims to solve the feature mismatch problem caused by different document types and improve the performance of automatic classification technology. [Methods] We proposed a new method to extend the semantic features using documents of various types as the corpus, which were introduced the third-party resource HowNet and were different with the other un-categorized ones. [Results] Compared with the non-feature-extension classification method, the proposed method increased the F-measure by 1.2% to 11.0% in our classification experiment. Four document types, used in our study included webpages, books, non-academic periodicals and academic journals. [Limitations] Not every type of document was tested with the publicly accessible corpus, thus, more tests were needed to examine the generalization and objectiveness of the new method. [Conclusions] Our study showed that the proposed method was feasible. It could effectively eliminate the semantic differences among various types of collections and improve the performance of automatic text classification through corpus construction and feature extension.
