Abstract:   Objective  The review of knowledge visualization design reflects the ways of exploring new forms of knowledge. Coverage There are 1377 papers from the core collection database of Web of Science. The domestic literature comes from 518 papers on CNKI.  Methods Using bibliometric analysis tools Vosview, Citespace and self-combing methods, this study retrieved and analyzed domestic and foreign literature from 1985 to 2022 with the keyword knowledge visualization design , and analyzed the dialectical development path of knowledge visualization design research. Results  It is found that the current research on visual definition is limited, the research lacks consideration on the ontology and epistemology of knowledge visual design, and relies too much on a single research perspective and lacks dialectical thinking. Limitation  It is difficult to use the same method for unified analysis due to the inconsistency of domestic and foreign databases. Conclusion  Chinese knowledge visualization designers and researchers use materialist dialectics to grasp the research context and law of knowledge visualization design field, understand its dialectical development process, and find the development path of knowledge visualization field in China.

This article investigates and analyzes the resources of Muyu books in Dongguan, aiming to explore the particularity and inherent needs of the protection and utilization of Muyu book resources in this area, and provides universal ideas and countermeasures for further protecting Lingnan intangible cultural heritage resources.[Method/process]The article comprehensively uses methods such as field research, interviews, and questionnaires, sorts out the current situation of the collection quantity, types, versions, protection conditions, digitization degree, sharing status, and document utilization of Muyu book resources in Dongguan, and explores the protection and utilization of the ancient documents Muyu book.[Result/conclusion]The protection and utilization of ancient documents Muyu books in Dongguan face six major problems including weak protection awareness, limited preservation conditions, backward sorting methods, serious damage to the original ecology of documents, rising prices, lack of protection and utilization work, and lack of collaborative management between collection departments. It is necessary to promote high-quality development by attaching importance to top-level design, exploring methods of document collection, standardizing and organizing, compiling joint catalogs, accelerating the construction of oral documents, strengthening database construction, and deepening international exchanges.

  • Mining of Research Topics of Green Consumption in China Based on Text Mining and Complex Network

Subjects: Library Science,Information Science >> Literature Work submitted time 2023-11-07 Cooperative journals: 《文献与数据学报》

Abstract: [Purpose/significance]A fundamental goal of China’s 14th Five-Year Plan and Vision 2035 is to promote “green consumption”. Identifying research topics is essential because it facilitates staying up-to-date with the latest developments and trends in the field of green consumption, providing indispensable guidance for future studies. [Method/process]Our proposed method comprehensively considers the literature title, abstract, and keywords using text mining and complex network theories. Our method involves utilizing text word segmentation technology to extract subject headings and employing the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) to determine the co-occurrence weight of two-tuple subject phrases. We provide the TI-g index as a proposal by optimizing the traditional word frequency g index through the inclusion of the Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF) algorithm because the word frequency g index is ineffective at filtering out “high-frequency generic words.” This study focuses on academic literature on green consumption in the period of 2010 to 2022 in China. [Result/conclusion]A heatmap was generated to display shifts in research topics since 2010, complemented by the identification of recent hotspots of research in this field since 2018.Our analysis identified four major subject fields and highlighted the research limitations present in each.

  • Application of “Digging and Lining” Technique in the Repairing of Celebrity Letters: Taking the Repairing of Lin Songhe’s Manuscripts in Nankai University Library as an Example

Subjects: Library Science,Information Science >> Literature Work submitted time 2023-11-07 Cooperative journals: 《文献与数据学报》

Abstract: [Purpose/significance]Lin Songhe’s manuscripts was collected in Nankai University Library in 2020. The main content is the letters Lin Songhe wrote to Liu Biyi from 1921 to 1937, with a total of 446 letters and 941 copies. To gather Lin Songhe’s manuscripts in an orderly manner for readers to study and use.[Method/process]Under the leadership of Wan Qun tutor, three apprentices analyze the form of the whole batch of manuscripts. After discussion, it is determined to use the method of “digging and lining” to collect all the manuscripts in the form of thread bound book. They have jointly completed the repair work of size measurement, paper distribution, flattening, repairing, wachen, covering, binding and so on.[Result/conclusion]Finally, they completed four folding cases and twenty volumes of Lin Songhe’s manuscripts, and analyzed the technical issues during the repair process and the protection significance after the repair is completed.

  • Research on the OA Papers in High-quality Academic Journals: A Case Study of Web of Science Core Collection

Subjects: Library Science,Information Science >> Literature Work submitted time 2018-10-16

Abstract: [Purpose/significance] This paper aims at getting a comprehensive understanding for the quantity and OA ratio of OA papers, and making a preliminary evaluation of these papers. [Method/process] In this paper, we utilized Web of Science Core Collection as the data source and took the four dimensions: publication years, research areas, countries/territories and organizations. We investigated papers published in high-quality academic journals that recorded in WoS from 2002 to 2016. Then, we analyzed and interpreted the changes and trends of OA papers. Finally, we took Nature as an example and analyzed the quality of OA papers from the perspective of citation per paper and highly-cited papers proportion. [Result/conclusion] The number of OA papers in the world have been increasing year by year, especially in China. Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) is the institution which has the largest number of papers recorded in WoS, the number of OA papers took the first place in 2016, but the OA ratio still lagged behind major European and American institutions. The OA practice in the field of biological and medical sciences is superior to other research fields.
