  • 人际交往的在场与疏离——基于对“元宇宙”概念的反思

Subjects: Digital Publishing >> New Media submitted time 2023-10-08 Cooperative journals: 《

  • Research on Blockchain System Framework of Self-organizing Peer Review in Preprint

Subjects: Library Science,Information Science >> Library Science submitted time 2023-06-12

Abstract: Abstract: Purpose/Significance  This study aims to apply self-organizing peer review to address the quality control issues in preprints, and construct a framework of preprint self-organizing peer review blockchain system, providing support for academic exchange environment construction. Method/Process Literature research was used to identify the challenges facing preprint development, summarize the quality control methods currently adopted by preprints, define the concept of self-organizing peer review, and based on the principles of building self-organizing peer review systems, leverage blockchain technology to apply self-organizing peer review to preprint quality control, thereby constructing a framework of preprint self-organizing peer review blockchain system. Result/Conclusion  Self-organizing peer review can effectively evaluate and correct preprints, increase their credibility and expand their influence. Applying the self-organizing peer review model with the support of blockchain technology, the construction of a Chinese preprint self-organizing peer review blockchain system framework can provide a quality control mechanism for preprints and have certain reference value for academic publishing and peer review reform. It will also help with the construction of an academic exchange environment.

Subjects: Library Science,Information Science >> Library Science submitted time 2023-04-14

Abstract: Abstract:  Purposes To prevent and respond to academic misconduct in peer review by using blockchain technology, and to provide reference for the construction of trust system of academic publication. Methods Analyze the manifestation of academic misconduct in peer review, and its current methods and means of peer review to prevent and control academic misconduct, and according to the technical characteristics of blockchain, blockchain can be used to cope with academic misconduct. Findings With the help of blockchain technology, the current system, model and technical means of prevention and control can be better realized, and the academic misconduct caused by subjective perspectives and technical academic misconduct caused by objective factors existing in traditional peer review can be effectively prevented. Conclusions The use of blockchain with asymmetric encryption, consensus mechanism, smart contracts and other technologies to improve open peer review can regulate the behavior of scholars from both institutional and technical aspects, effectively improve the current academic misconduct in peer review, and contribute to the realization of responsible research and innovation.

  • The diffusion of vaccine hesitancy: media visibility versus scientific authority

Subjects: Library Science,Information Science >> Library Science submitted time 2022-08-17

Abstract: Abstract Purpose/Significance Our research gathers media articles and scientific literature data (98% in English) of vaccine scientists and anti-vaxxers to investigate the differences in their media visibility and scientific authority. The media co-occurrence networks and scientific citation networks are utilized to detect the associations between the two groups. The research can inform domestic media on how unevenly vaccine topics are covered and assist people understand the causes of the spread of vaccine hesitancy.  Methods/Process  We collect data of 213 anti-vaccine advocates and 200 vaccine scientists, including 100,000 research documents and 60,000 English-language media article metadata. In order to investigate the reasons for the differences in media visibility between vaccine scientists and anti-vaxxers, our research first analysis from the group-level of the data. Then we focus on the people’s media visibility from the perspectives of passive presentation and active presentation, respectively. Finally, the media co-occurrence network and the scientific citation network are created separately to explore the association between vaccine scientists and anti-vaxxers. Results/Conclusions Anti-vaxxers have 52% more media articles than vaccine scientists when we compare solely media visibility, but when we compare the 50 most authoritative individuals in the two groups, vaccine scientists have greater media visibility than anti-vaxxers. The findings imply that the media's selection of topic buzz may have a role in the capacity of anti-vaxxers to get a lot of attention. Even though the majority of anti-vaxxers have weak scientific authority, they can still generate a lot of buzz by spreading false information and exaggerated propaganda on various social media platforms or new media, while the media visibility of vaccine scientists is primarily focused on those with higher scientific authority. Additionally, we discover that anti-vaxxers are more closely linked to each other than vaccine scientists, creating a team effect that facilitates the spread of their anti-vaccine rhetoric.

  • Factors and mechanisms of risk perception on medical information

Subjects: Psychology >> Social Psychology submitted time 2020-04-29

Abstract: Exploring the process of individual risk perception on medical information from the perspective of information processing. The influencing factors of risk perception on medical information are categorized into three aspects, namely, the source of medical information, the content and form of medical information, and the subject of information processing. The cognitive mechanism of individual risk perception on medical information was discussed based on experience-analysis processing theory and verbatim-gist processing theory. This study recommends increased attention to balancing the general and specific studies of risk perception on medical information. Moreover, the standard and specific measurements should be combined, and research in the context of China’s medical system should be expanded. Furthermore, a series of theoretical and empirical research should be developed, and preventive measures and evidence-based supporting policies must be established. "

  • The influence and mechanism of refutation texts on patients' trust and moral judgement

Subjects: Psychology >> Social Psychology submitted time 2019-09-05
