Abstract: A simulation code, GOAT, is developed to simulate single-bunch intensity-dependent effects and their interplay in the proton ring (pRing) of the Electron-Ion Collider in China (EicC) project. GOAT is a scalable and portable macroparticle tracking code written in Python and coded by object-oriented programming technology. It allows for transverse and longitudinal tracking, including impedance, space charge effect, electron cloud effect, and beam-beam interaction. In this paper, physical models and numerical approaches for the four types of high-intensity effects, together with the benchmark results obtained through other simulation codes or theories, are presented and discussed. In addition, a numerical application of the cross-talk simulation between the beam-beam interaction and transverse impedance is shown, and a dipole instability is observed below the respective instability threshold. Different mitigation measures implemented in the code are used to suppress the instability. The flexibility, completeness, and advancement demonstrate that GOAT is a powerful tool for beam dynamics studies in the EicC project or other high-intensity accelerators.

Abstract: In 2022 China Space Station (CSS) will be equipped with atomic clocks and optical clocks with stabilities of $2 \times 10^{-16}$ and $8 \times 10^{-18}$, respectively, which provides an excellent opportunity to test gravitational redshift (GR) with higher accuracy than previous results. Based on high-precise frequency links between CSS and a ground station, we formulated a model and provided simulation experiments to test GR. Simulation results suggest that this method could test the GR at the accuracy level of $(0.27 \pm 2.15) \times10^{-7}$, more than two orders in magnitude higher than the result of the experiment of a hydrogen clock on board a flying rocket more than 40 years ago.

Abstract: In this article, we provide an alternative up-sampling and PSF deconvolution method for the iterative multi-exposure coaddition. Different from the previous works, the new method has a ratio-correction term, which allows the iterations to converge more rapidly to an accurate representation of the underlying image than those with difference-correction terms. By employing this method, one can coadd the under-sampled multi-exposures to a super-resolution and obtain a higher peak signal-to-noise ratio. A set of simulations show that we can take many advantages of the new method, e.g. in the signal-to-noise ratio, the average deviation of all source fluxes, super-resolution, and source distortion ratio, etc., which are friendly to astronomical photometry and morphology, and benefits faint source detection and shear measurement of weak gravitational lensing. It provides an improvement in fidelity over the previous works tested in this paper.

Abstract: Second harmonic generation (SHG), as one of the most significant \c{hi}(2) nonlinear optical processes, plays crucial roles in a broad variety of optical and photonic applications. Designing various delicate schemes to achieve highly efficient SHG has become a long standing and challenging topic in field of nonlinear optics. Despite numerous success on SHG based on birefringent phase matching and quasi-phase matching, so far, modal phase matching (MPM) for SHG in tightly light-confined structures has still in its infancy. Here, we propose a new scheme to realize highly-efficient SHG via MPM by using a nanophotonic LiNbO3 thin-film waveguide consists of two bonded layers with internally reversed polarizations. In such a dual-layer ridge waveguide based on lithium niobate on insulator, upon optical excitation at 1574.6 nm, we observe SHG at 787.3 nm with ultrahigh conversion efficiency of 5,540% /W/cm/cm experimentally. This work advances our understanding on modal-phase-matched SHG and other quadratic optical nonlinear process, offering additional strategies for development of high-performance nonlinear photonic devices in on-chip platforms.

Abstract: This paper describes a research that studied the current characteristics of REBCO tapes in liquid nitrogen after heat treatment at different temperatures. The reason of the deterioration at high temperature is briefly introduced. The conclusion presented in this paper is instructive for the winding of superconducting coils and the fabrication of superconducting magnets. "
