摘要: hrough bio-inspired polydopamine modification of the ceramic support surface, dense and reproducible zeolitic imidazolate framework (ZIF) membranes have been developed for the first time for seawater desalination by pervaporation. Demonstrated by both experimental and simulation studies, the developed ZIF membranes show high desalination performances attributing to the small pore size of the ZIF membranes, which is exactly in between the size of water molecules and hydrated ions. The ZIF membranes show a high stability in seawater. At 25, 50, 75 and 100 °C, the water fluxes through the ZIF-8 membrane are 5.8, 8.1, 10.8, and 13.5 kg/(m2·h), re- spectively, with a high ion rejection of over 99.8%, which is promising for seawater desalination by ionic sieving.

摘要: Oxidative stress is a major cause of sporadic Parkinson's disease (PD). Here, we demonstrated that c-Abl plays an important role in oxidative stress-induced neuronal cell death. C-Abl, a nonreceptor tyrosine kinase, was activated in an 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine hydrochloride (MPTP)-induced acute PD model. Conditional knockout of c-Abl in neurons or treatment of mice with STI571, a c-Abl family kinase inhibitor, reduced the loss of dopaminergic neurons and ameliorated the locomotive defects induced by short-term MPTP treatment. By combining the SILAC (stable isotope labeling with amino acids in cell culture) technique with other biochemical methods, we identified p38 alpha as a major substrate of c-Abl both in vitro and in vivo and c-Abl-mediated phosphorylation is critical for the dimerization of p38 alpha. Furthermore, p38 alpha inhibition mitigated the MPTP-induced loss of dopaminergic neurons. Taken together, these data suggested that c-Abl-p38 alpha signaling may represent a therapeutic target for PD.

摘要: In this study, (001) and (101)-orientated polycrystalline SnO films were respectively fabricated. The preferred orientation conversion was observed by modifying the stoichiometry of the SnO films. It was revealed that the O-rich and Sn-rich SnO films favor (001) and (101) grain orientations, respectively. Moreover, based on the Raman selection rule and our experimental results, the 110 cm 1 Raman peak is assigned to the low- frequency Eg mode of SnO. The Raman intensity ratio between the 110 cm 1 and 210 cm 1 peak of SnO increases with the relative texture coefficient of the (101) grain orientation but decreases with that of the (001) one, demonstrating that the Raman characteristic information could be used as fingerprint recognition to mutually predict the crystallographic texture of SnO films.

摘要: Two novel conjugated donoreacceptor polymers were synthesized by combining anthracene donor and benzothiadiazole acceptor with two different side chains (conjugated and non-conjugated). Their ab- sorption spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, electrochemical cyclic voltammetry, theoretical prediction, surface morphology, and photovoltaic performance were investigated. The resultant two- dimensional configuration showed good optical and electrochemical properties. By selectively intro- ducing branched conjugated side chains and non-conjugated linear side chains on the polymer back- bone, the highest occupied molecular orbital levels are low lying which results in an increased open circuit voltage for polymer solar cells. The open circuit voltage of 1.02 V in this work was among the highest value for anthracene-based polymer solar cells ever. Our results suggest a good way to regulate the molecular energy levels by selecting appropriate side chains.
