Abstract: [Purpose/significance] The purpose of this paper is to research the cumulative rules of PLoS OA articles' views in online media and to enrich the research methods of Altmetrics by mathematical statistics.[Method/process] The tracking data for 38 research papers published in November 2016 by PLoS Biology and PLoS Medicine are collected until October 16, 2017. By using the method of curve fitting and special node calculation, the statistical analysis and test of the recorded data are carried out to explore the cumulative rule of the total page view index.[Result/conclusion] The goodness of fit of logarithmic curve to the cumulative curve of total views is the best, with an average of 0.97. The special point S(x,y) of the cumulative curve is calculated, and the cumulative curve of total views is successfully divided into two stages:centralized view period and decentralized view period, of which the centralized view period accounts for about 10% of all stage, while the view volume exceeds 55% of all stage.

    Abstract:

Background Neuromyelitis optica spectrum disease (NMOSD) is an autoimmune disease. To explore the expression of immune cells and cytokines and find more directions for treatment and intervention. Objective To explore the number of regulatory B cells (Breg) in peripheral blood of neuromyelitis optica spectrum disease and its clinical significance of NMOSD patiens. Methods a total of 55 patients with NMOSD were admitted to the Department of Neurology, from June 2019 to December 2021, and 50 normal healthy subjects during the same period were enrolled. Flow cytometry was used to detect the proportions of CD19+CD24hiCD38hi regulatory B cells and CD19+CD24hiCD27+ regulatory B cells in CD19+ lymphocytes in peripheral blood mononuclear cells of the two groups. The serum levels of interleukin-10, IL-35 and transforming growth factor -β1 (TGF-β1) were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Results As compared with the control group, the proportions of CD19+CD24hiCD38hi Breg and CD19+CD24hiCD27+Breg in CD19+ lymphocytes in NMOSD group were decreased((5.82±2.59%,13.21±3.45%)), and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). As compared with the control group, the levels of IL-10, IL-35 and TGF-β1 in NMOSD group were decreased(42.80±7.63,181.19±38.49,8.84±4.41,pg/mL), with statistical significance (P<0.05). Conclusion Regulatory B cells and their cytokines are down-regulated inpatients with NMOSD and play a role in the progression of NMOSD disease.

Abstract: Objective In the clinic, myocardial perfusion computed tomography (MPCT) imaging is commonly used to detect and assess myocardial ischemia quantitatively. However, repeated scanning on the myocardial region in the cine mode will increase the radiation dose for patients. With lowering radiation dose, the quality of images are degraded by noise induced artifact, which hampers the diagnostic accuracy. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a redundancy information induced iterative reconstruction framework for high quality MPCT images at the case of low dose. Methods MPCT images have redundant structural information within frames and highly similarity between adjacent frames. Inspired by the two properties, in this work we propose a penalized weighted least-squares (PWLS) model incorporating NLM and TV based hybrid constraints, which is referred to as PWLS-aviNLM-TV for simplicity. The proposed algorithm can effectively eliminate noise and artifacts by taking into account the similarity between adjacent frames and redundancy information within frames, which also can improve spatial resolution within frames and maintain temporal resolution. Results The experimental results on the 4D extended cardiac-torso (XCAT) phantom and preclinical porcine dataset demonstrates that the PWLS-aviNLM-TV algorithm obtains better performance in terms of noise reduction and artifacts suppression than the PWLS-TV and PWLSaviNLM algorithm. Moreover, the proposed algorithm can preserve the edges and detail information thereby efficiently differentiate ischemia from myocardium. Conclusion The present redundancy information induced reconstruction algorithm can reconstruct high-quality images from low-dose MPCT for better clinical imaging diagnosis.

Abstract: Restriction by hardware caused the very low projection number at a single phase for 4-dimensional cone beam (4D-CBCT) CT imaging, and reconstruction using conventional reconstruction algorithms is thus constrained by serious streak artifacts and noises. To address this problem, we propose an approach to reconstructing 4D-CBCT images with multi-phase projections based on the assumption that the image at one phase can be viewed as the motion-compensated image at another phase. Specifically, we formulated a cost function using multi-phase projections to construct the fidelity term and the TV regularization method. For fidelity term construction, the projection data of the current phase and those at other phases were jointly used by reformulating the imaging model. The Gradient-Projection-Barzilai-Line search (GPBL) method was used to optimize the complex cost function. Physical phantom and patient data results showed that the proposed approach could effectively reduce the noise and artifacts, and the introduction of additional temporal correlation did not introduce new artifacts or motion blur.

Abstract: Objective Ring artifacts often appear in flat-panel detector-based CT images due to the malfunction or mis-calibration of the detector elements that result in stripe artifacts in the line integral projection (sinogram) data. The ring artifacts lower the image quality and affect image-based diagnoses. Here we propose a ring artifacts removal approach based on wavelet filtering in the sinogram domain. The line integral projection (sinogram) dataset were divided into 4 sub-sinogram dataset, and for each of them the wavelet decomposition operation was employed to produce the associated wavelet dataset, followed by filtering operation on the vertical detail band and the low-pass detail band. Wavelet reconstruction operation was then performed, and the weighted moving average filter was used to yield the filtered sinogram, which was processed using filtered back-projection (FBP) for image reconstruction. The results showed that the proposed approach could effectively remove the ring artifacts while preserving the structural information of the image.
