摘要: Primate visual system is extremely efficient in extracting stable invariants from environment, despite various transformation and degradation. The timing and dynamics of invariants perception provide important constraints for theories of vision. We developed a high speed LED backlight tachistoscope capable to deliver visual stimuli with 1 ms exposure and adjust the duration in submillisecond precision, which enabled us to investigate the relative speed of processing topological, projective, affine, and Euclidean invariants in configural superiority effect paradigm by manipulating the access time to visual input and estimating the psychometric function for sensory evidence accumulation. The results suggest that topological invariant requires shortest exposure time, consistent with the prediction of global-first theory.

摘要: This paper is intended to investigate how the Dai Dialect speaker in Dehong Autonomous Prefecture perceives Mandarin tones. Therefore identification and discrimination experiments are conducted of the four Mandarin tone continuums with Dai Language speakers. The results suggested that the Dai Language speaker’s perception mode of T1-T2 and T2-T4 continuums are Categorical Perception, but for T1-T3, T2-T3, T3-T4 and T1-T4 continuums are not. These findings indicate that Dai language tone system does have a significant influence on the perception of Mandarin tones.

摘要: Objective: Given that the coronavirus pandemic has become a severe concern around the world, how can optimism be maintained in an outbreak of a collective epidemic? We proposed that perceived control and negative affect could be potential explanatory factors for optimism in the face of pandemic. Methods & Results: In Study 1, a large-scale (N = 599) cross-sectional design (N = 599) showed the effect of risk perception on life optimism and the serial mediating effect of “perceived control–negative affect” through structural equation modeling. Then, Study 2 (N = 191) ascertained the causality between risk perception for epidemic and life optimism with experimental manipulations. Finally, Study 3 (N = 186) controlled for extrinsic variables and further revealed that the effect of risk perception on optimism could be extended to overall subjective well-being. Conclusions: Together, these findings indicated that under influenza epidemic, risk perception could make a difference in life optimism. Moreover, perceived control and negative affect were notable contributing factors in the link. Measures strengthening the publicity and transparency of recovery rates should be taken to reduce public risk perceptions and promote life optimism.

摘要: We conducted an experiment consisting of five blocks to examine the effect of non-labial facial information on audiovisual speech perception. 20 Chinese native speakers were asked to report the syllables they perceived during five condition: audio-only, video-only, video-only without labial part, audiovisual and audiovisual without labial part. The materials were /pa/, /tsa/, /ta/, /tʂa/ and /ka/, which were selected according to places of articulation from front to back. The results showed that even though the non-labial facial information was not enough to distinguish non-labial consonants, they could have significant effect on auditory speech perception

摘要: Through the literature analysis of the current ecological perception theory and the related research content of tourism landscape design, it is found that the ecological perception theory is divided into two perspectives, namely, the perspective of human perception instinct and the perspective of environmental availability. Through field investigation, the status quo of tourism landscape design in Chengyang Bazhai Village is found.From the perspective of ecological consciousness theory analytical tourism landscape design elements, namely people subjective perception dimension elements dimensions, natural environment, artificial perception dimension element three aspects, and further to analyze, finally under the perspective of ecological consciousness people subjective aesthetic, environmental availability to forge, artificial perception three tourism landscape design strategy.Further build the tourism landscape design, and guide the tourist crowd to better integrate into the national cultural experience of Dong scenic spot from the tourism landscape design.This paper puts forward a new thinking on the landscape design of Dong rural tourism from the perspective of ecological perception and provides a reference for the landscape design of tourism in minority areas.

摘要: Guided by the theory of landscape genes, this paper selected Daxu ancient town in Guilin as the research object, combined with field research, historical literature reference and other research methods, and based on the actual situation of the ancient town and the principle of gene division, constructed the landscape gene index system of Daxu ancient town based on environment, layout, architecture and cultural characteristics genes. The problems of landscape gene protection in Daxu Ancient Town were found. The gene system of street texture was not perfect and the landscape nodes were scattered. Cultural characteristic genes are disappearing, and historical and cultural resources are not deeply excavated and exploited. The protection of ethnic architectural genetic elements lags behind, and a large number of old houses are damaged. The paper puts forward that the traditional ancient towns in scenic spots should be protected and developed from the aspects of integrity, characteristics, authenticity and effective management mechanism.

摘要: The ship motion perception approaches mainly use maritime radar, Automatic Identification System (AIS) and cameras. However, using either of these approaches alone may result in information inconsistency and insufficient data accuracy. Therefore, a multi-sensor fusion perception system is proposed in this study to monitor ship motion in inland waterways. Firstly, a hardware platform of multi-sensor fusion ship motion perception system composed of maritime radar, AIS, cameras and other accessories is constructed. Secondly, by utilizing the target detection and tracking algorithms, track association algorithms, the ship motion data collected from the three sensors are integrated. Finally, the performance of the ship motion perception system is verified by field experiments in day and night. The experimental results indicate that the integrated ship motion perception system with multiple sensors is able to improve the information consistency and data accuracy of ship motion apparently in inland waterway compared to other perception systems.

摘要: What is a number? The number sense hypothesis suggests that numerosity is "a primary visual property" like color, contrast, or orientation. However, exactly what attribute of a stimulus is the primary visual property and determines numbers in the number sense? To verify the invariant nature of numerosity perception, we manipulated the numbers of items connected/enclosed in arbitrary and irregular forms while controlling for low-level features (e.g., orientation, color, and size). Subjects performed discrimination, estimation, and equality judgment tasks in a wide range of presentation durations and across small and large numbers. Results consistently show that connecting/enclosing items led to robust numerosity underestimation, with the extent of underestimation increasing monotonically with the number of connected/enclosed items. In contrast, grouping based on color similarity had no effect on numerosity judgment. We propose that numbers or the primitive units counted in numerosity perception are influenced by topological invariants, such as connectivity and the inside/outside relationship. Beyond the behavioral measures, neural tuning curves to numerosity in the intraparietal sulcus were obtained using functional MRI adaptation, and the tuning curves showed that numbers represented in the intraparietal sulcus were strongly influenced by topology.

摘要: In plants, auxin signalling is initiated by the auxin-promoted interaction between the auxin receptor TIR1, an E3 ubiquitin ligase, and the Aux/IAA transcriptional repressors, which are subsequently degraded by the proteasome. Gain-of-function mutations in the highly conserved domain II of Aux/IAAs abolish the TIR1-Aux/IAA interaction and thus cause an auxin-resistant phenotype. Here we show that peptidyl-prolyl isomerization of rice OsIAA11 catalysed by LATERAL ROOTLESS2 (LRT2), a cyclophilin-type peptidyl-prolyl cis/trans isomerase, directly regulates the stability of OsIAA11. NMR spectroscopy reveals that LRT2 efficiently catalyses the cis/trans isomerization of OsIAA11. The lrt2 mutation reduces OsTIR1-OsIAA11 interaction and consequently causes the accumulation of a higher level of OsIAA11 protein. Moreover, knockdown of the OsIAA11 expression partially rescues the lrt2 mutant phenotype in lateral root development. Together, these results illustrate cyclophilin-catalysed peptidyl-prolyl isomerization promotes Aux/IAA degradation, as a mechanism regulating auxin signalling.

摘要: The brain constantly creates perceptual predictions about forthcoming stimuli to guide perception efficiently. Abundant studies have demonstrated that perceptual predictions modulate sensory activities depending on whether the actual inputs are consistent with one particular prediction. In real-life contexts, however, multiple and even conflicting predictions might concurrently exist to be tested, requiring a multiprediction coordination process. It remains largely unknown how multiple hypotheses are conveyed and harmonized to guide moment-by-moment perception. Based on recent findings revealing that multiple locations are sampled alternatively in various phase of attentional rhythms, we hypothesize that this oscillation-based temporal organization mechanism may also underlie the multiprediction coordination process. To address the issue, we used well established priming paradigms in combination with a time-resolved behavioral approach to investigate the fine temporal dynamics of the multiprediction harmonization course in human subjects. We first replicate classical priming effects in slowly developing trends of priming time courses. Second, after removing the typical priming patterns, we reveal a new theta-band (similar to 4 Hz) oscillatory component in the priming behavioral data regardless of whether the prime was masked. Third, we show that these theta-band priming oscillations triggered by congruent and incongruent primes are in an out-of-phase relationship. These findings suggest that perceptual predictions return to low-sensory areas not continuously but recurrently in a theta-band rhythm (every 200-300 ms) and that multiple predictions are dynamically coordinated in time by being conveyed in different phases of the theta-band oscillations to achieve dissociated but temporally organized neural representations.
