Subjects: Physics >> General Physics: Statistical and Quantum Mechanics, Quantum Information, etc. submitted time 2023-07-04 Cooperative journals: 《中国全科医学》

Abstract: Background Intrapartum fever is a common clinical manifestation in obstetrics, which increases the rates of cesarean section, vaginal instrumental delivery and neonatal asphyxia. The influencing factors of intrapartum fever include pregnancy comorbidities and complications, labor induction duration, labor analgesia, trial delivery time, temperature of delivery room, and number of pelvic examination. These factors can exist independently or be causal.. Is it true that the higher maximum body temperature correlates with worse maternal and neonatal outcomes in women with intrapartum fever? The study on it is useful to guide the clinical prognosis and management strategies of pregnant women with intrapartum fever. ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of intrapartum fever and its severity on maternal and fetal outcomes during trial delivery of full-term singleton primipara. Methods A total of 994 full-term singleton primiparas who delivered in our hospital and diagnosed with intrapartum fever during labor were included as study subjects, the full-term singleton primiparas without intrapartum fever who met the criteria were enrolled in a 1:1 ratio as the control group during the same period. The general situation, complications, labor induction, delivery mode, and maternal and infant outcomes were compared between the fever group and control group. The fever group was further divided into 4 subgroups according to the degree of body temperature at delivery, including 142 cases in subgroup 1 with temperature of 37.3 to 37.5℃,600 cases in subgroup 2 with temperature of 37.5 to 38 ℃,213 cases in subgroup 3 with temperature of 38.0 to 38.5 ℃,39 cases in subgroup 4 with temperature above 38.5 ℃ . General information, obstetric complications, labor induction, delivery mode, and maternal and fetal outcomes of the four subgroups were compared and analyzed. Results A total of 994 cases were included in the fever group and 987 cases in the control group. The proportions of labor induction and induced labor ≥ 3 days in the fever group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05). The incidence of premature membrane rupture, gestational hypertension and gestational diabetes in the fever group was higher than the control group(P<0.05). The rates of cesarean section, puerperal infection, neonatal asphyxia, amniotic fluid contamination neonatal NICU transfer in the fever group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05). There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups in terms of neonatal body mass(P>0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in the rates of labor induction, proportion of induced labor ≥ 3 days and incidence of premature rupture of fetal membranes, gestational hypertension and gestational diabetes among the subgroups(P>0.05). The differences were not statistically significant when comparing the rates of cesarean delivery, puerperal infection, neonatal asphyxia, amniotic fluid contamination and neonatal NICU transfer among the subgroups(P>0.05). Conclusion The incidence of maternal complications, labor induction, cesarean section, puerperal infection and neonatal asphyxia increased in patients with fever during labor, the severity of fever was not related to the mode of delivery and maternal and infant outcomes.

  • Preparation and Properties of CMSs-An/PET Flame Retardant Composites

Subjects: Materials Science >> Materials Science (General) submitted time 2023-03-18 Cooperative journals: 《材料研究学报》

Abstract: Carbon microspheres (CMSs) were surface modified by the acid oxidation method and then grafted with aniline (An) by chemical synthesis to prepare compound CMSs-An. The CMSs-An/PET composite materials were prepared by melt blending CMSs- An and polyethylene glycol terephthalate (PET). The morphology, dispersiveness, thermal stability, flame retardant property and mechanical property of CMSs-An/PET materials were characterized by SEM, IR spectra, TG, oxygen index tester and vertical burning apparatus. The results show that, the aniline modified CMSs have better dispersiveness than that of the original CMSs in the PET matrix, and the tensile strength of CMSs-An/PET is 20.8% higher than that of CMSs/PET; in comparison with the pure PET, the CMSs-An/PET composite exhibits better performance: its thermal stability increased, limiting oxygen index increased by 7.5 and reached to 29.2, and vertical burning grades increased from V-2 level to V-0 level according to the national standards.

  • The influence of members’ relationship on collaborative remembering

Subjects: Psychology >> Cognitive Psychology submitted time 2021-01-18

Abstract: People usually retrieve and reconstruct their memories with others collaboratively in a social context. Extensive interests have been drawn towards the effect of people’s collaboration on informational retrieval. Previous studies reported a robust phenomenon called collaborative inhibition in the group of young strangers who tried to avoid the irrelevant influence of social relationships, motivations or intentions. These studies also frequently used semantic wordlists as learning materials. Our daily life, however, is filled with collaborative recall activities that take place among intimate individuals. For example, married couples generally communicate about episodic and autobiographical events that serve a significant social function for human beings. Therefore, it was critical to examine the effect of collaborative recall on information retrieval for both younger and older couples. The present study used unpersonal-related semantic wordlists (Experiment 1) and unpersonal-related episodic stories (Experiment 2) as learning materials, respectively, to assess the effect of intimate relationships on collaborative recall for both younger and older adults. In each experiment, three-factor (two between-subjects factors: participant age - younger and older adults; the type of participant relationships - couple and stranger; and one within-subjects factor: retrieval types – collaborative and individual) mixed design was conducted. Specifically, participants in collaborative groups studied the materials alone, then retrieved along with a stranger or their spouse. In Experiment 1, the dependent variable was the accurate retrieval proportion of the group (collaborative or nominal), while in Experiment 2 that used episodic stories as learning material, the dependent variables included the accurate retrieval proportion, the retrieval details and the frequencies of different types of interaction strategies. Results of Experiment 1 showed that the accurate retrieval proportion of collaborative groups in young strangers was lower than that of nominal groups, consistent with previous studies, and thus provided support for the classical collaborative inhibition model. The other three experimental conditions, however, showed no statistical difference between collaborative and nominal groups. In Experiment 2, collaborative facilitation was found for both younger and older couples, e.g., retrieval accuracy and details were both greater in collaborative groups than in nominal groups with episodic materials. Such facilitation effect was greater in older couples than in younger couples. In addition, older couples employed positive interaction strategies that played an important role in this collaborative facilitation. Overall, Experiment 1 replicated the classical collaborative inhibition phenomenon in younger strangers, whereas no significant recall difference between collaborative and nominal groups was found for intimate couples. It is possible that Chinese couples rely more on the transactive memory system formed in daily life to overcome the negative effect of collaborative recall in wordlist materials. Such results were further examined in Experiment 2 with episodic stories, in which both younger and older couples had information retrieval with higher accuracy and greater details than nominal groups. The results can be explained by the transactive memory system. That is, based on intimate relationships and shared experiences among them, an effective system of encoding, storing and retrieving information may develop, diminish, or even reverse the negative effect of collaborative recall.
